As we prepare for Thanksgiving without a Macy’s parade, we are grateful that 2020 has given us the opportunity to spend more time with our families. And for the most part, while it has otherwise been a year to forget, it is important to remember that not everyone will have the opportunity to sit down to a Thanksgiving feast.
In fact, some do not share the good fortune of knowing when their next meal is coming. Conscious of our ability to make a difference and looking for a way to continue to develop social responsibility, Russo’s Catering recently partnered with GiftAMeal, a mobile application that helps provide a meal to someone in need each time a user takes a photo on its app.
With over 200 restaurant partners across St. Louis, you may be familiar with how the program works. If not, here is a short 2-minute video that outlines how they have already provided more than 500,000 meals. To make this work, Russo’s Catering needs your help! If you download the app and search under the category “Catering” …Russo’s will be one of the only options that come up. We want to show that the catering community can make a difference as well.
Imagine the impact we could make if each time your company ordered lunch for you and your co-workers, everybody snapped a photo, and an equal number of meals were donated. Or share a picture of your family enjoying Thanksgiving Dinner from Russo’s …post a picture and a meal or two is donated.
